Insider : Rafsanjani’s coalition is at an impasse.

SL now does believe NSP’s assessments, and understands that his days are counted. However, he & his advisers don’t believe that following Rafsanjani & his coalition’s lead would save him from prosecution & fall.
A plan of total police state using well known tactics against popular revolt, harsh crushing and speedy prosecution of unwanted elements as well as assassinations has prevailed in SNSC. This is based on Sepah’s wish list & SL’s desperate situation.
It seems that SL’s panic & restlessness have driven him to consider insane measures. Unless voices at the Expediency council moderate him, what he is planning for nation & region is a most horrifying nightmare.
NSP doesn’t think that any amount of use of technology & foreign equipment, or anything else SL’s camp is planning will in any way be effective in medium term, let alone long term.
Insider’s opinion :
Iran is led by a power-corrupt & deeply evil circle of dark lords, who have no place to go to if they let go of power, and face guaranteed prosecution in any Just regime, which would cost them their fortunes & lives.
Rafsanjani’s coalition is at an impasse. SL’s willingness to go to any length to preserve his reign is a testament to how wrong this system is.
There really cannot be a politically amiable solution anymore : SL isn’t willing to compromise on his absolute reign. The people aren’t willing to compromise on SL and Sepah staying in charge anyway.
