Sardar Safavi, former top commander of IRGC: “The most important need of society is to avoid tension and extremism.”
Safavi urged all to respect Marjas & avoid any extreme actions causing tension. He calls disrespectful or ill treatment of Marja destructive for regime while emphasizing the need for unity & calm in society.
He sharply criticizes those who call Khomeini’s companions “hypocrites”.
He criticizes Gov mismanagement of post election events & economy, noting that Iranian youth has major problems , foremost unemployment, which cause dissatisfaction that, if not attended to, will turn to “unpleasant” deeds by youth (out of frustration).
Safavi also criticizes “power seekers” who made it to presidential candidacy but when announced defeated proceeded outside of the law.
Insider : It is worth mentioning that Safavi is SL’s top military adviser & has met with SL several times a week since Ashura. He’s been spending much time with Expediency council as well. Safavi& Rezaei are in process of getting rid of unliked & dangerous IRGC&Basij cmdrs while trying to keep their main bodies loyal to SL, hoping to regain ppl’s trust with IRGC rogues being out.
